Devon Honywill M.OMSc – Osteopathic Manual Practitioner

Devon began her focus on health and wellness through the practice of yoga and Pilates in 2010 after searching for new ways to stay active. With an athletic childhood, she had experienced tolls on her joints and wanted to find a low impact exercise that she could do at home without requiring a lot of equipment. She continues to connect to these modalities because of the way they link breath to movement and for their ability to calm the nervous system. Devon runs a virtual movement studio through her website where clients can access her classes online to build strength in a fun, safe and effective manner.

After finishing an undergrad in Psychology from the University of Ottawa, She completed her yoga teaching training (YTT200) in 2015. With anatomy always being the focus of her movement practice, she found herself drawn to teaching Pilates. This led her to complete her Pilates Teacher Training as well as search for a manual therapy that could complement her movement training. The science behind Osteopathy immediately aligned with the way she viewed health, and furthermore the countless stories of its success made it an easy decision to pursue a formal education in the field. In 2017 she enrolled in the four-year M.MOMSc program with the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy and graduated in 2021.

Devon is constantly searching for new approaches to connect with patients to help them obtain health. Her goal is to provide a service that will leave patients feeling more aligned, healthier and in less pain. She gives tools to use in everyday living so that new, healthy habits are formed, affecting the overall quality of life. Devon approaches patients from a place of compassion and treats everyone as a unique individual, requiring fresh eyes and a blank slate in regards to what the body is needing.
